Privacy & Data Protection Policy

Last updated: July 2026

UK GDPR Compliant

🔒 Data Protection & Privacy Summary

Dorset Emergency Hub is committed to protecting contractor data and public user privacy. This policy outlines how public business listings, click analytics, and payment information are handled in strict compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.

📂 1. Public Trade Information Collected

Dorset Emergency Hub aggregates publicly available business information, including trading names, postal address, town, service area, and emergency telephone numbers, to operate an automated local emergency directory. When contractors self-submit via the "Add Your Business" feature, provided contact details are stored securely to generate public listing cards.

📈 2. Call Dispatch Tracking & Analytics

To deliver transparent click-through performance metrics to verified partner sponsors, our system tallies aggregate phone call button activations ("Call Clicks"). No personal consumer phone numbers, audio recordings, or individual caller identities are tracked, recorded, or stored at any point during emergency callout dispatches.

💳 3. Payment Processing & Financial Security

All financial transactions, payment details, and recurring monthly subscriptions are processed through encrypted, PCIDSS-compliant integrations powered directly by Stripe, Inc. Dorset Emergency Hub never sees, stores, or processes full credit card numbers, CVVs, or sensitive banking credentials on our local servers.

🔐 4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We strictly maintain a zero-sale data policy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute contractor contact lists or email addresses to third-party marketing companies, lead brokers, or spammers. Information is utilized strictly for platform operations, automated invoice delivery, and live public directory utility.

🕐 5. Data Retention & Removal Requests

Business listings remain in our active database as part of our public directory service. Contractors may request updates, corrections, or complete removal of their business listing from our platform at any time by contacting platform support or cancelling active sponsorships via the Stripe Billing Portal.

⚙ 6. Cookies & Essential Web Storage

Our platform uses minimal, essential browser session storage strictly required for platform performance, such as maintaining Master Admin Panel security sessions and managing active search filters. We do not use intrusive third-party cross-site advertising cookies or invasive user tracking scripts.

⚖ 7. Your Legal Rights (UK GDPR)

Under the UK Data Protection Act 2018, you hold the Right of Access, Right to Rectification, and Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten") regarding personal data associated with your business profile. To exercise these rights, please contact our administrative team.
